Hi... I married a man from Chile that I thought loved me. We had an amazing wedding. HE started to treat me badly right away after we were married. We have been married for 4 months. He has already received his work permit card. I have now discovered that he married me for papers. He has a long time girlfriend and baby in Chile. I have spoken to her. I have also printed emails from her and her mother stating that he married me for papers and that he loves the other girl very much and planned to return to her in Chile when he received his green card. His interview with uscis for his green card is in 10 days. This man has never actually lived with me. He made excuses for keeping his place somewhere else. He spent the nights with me but as a guest. I made him go to marriage counseling with me because I wanted to fix the problems. The problem was that he didn't love me and he has a woman in his country. Now that I am planning to divorce him everyone we know is telling me how he bragged about marrying me for papers. Then, recently an argument turned into him punching me in the stomach. A police report was made but no arrest but I do have an order of protection against him. What can I do now? I want him to be punished for what he did. I have proof of his relationship with the other woman and of his intent to marry me for papers. I have already reported him to ICE. Can I press charges against him for fraud as well? Obviously, I won't be attending the interview. I am going to send them all the paperwork and evidence. I just want to know what will happen and what else I can do. Thanks.
