Suppose f(x)=x+2 and g(x)=square root of (x). Findthe value of g(16). Use your output form step 1 as the input for f(x). Find f(g(16)).

To get g(16), just substitute x in the function by 16.
Then, use the value that you got, and replace all the x in f(x) by that value.
What do you get? :)
