I have a wall furnace that has a high pitch squeal when it isn't on. What could that be? What can I do about it?

Can you recognize the tune? Joke... I've never heard of that problem. I'm curious though. Have you tried bending the gas flex connector under the wall furnace. It connects the gas from the gas shut off valve to the wall heaters gas valve. I know that those can whistle when you blow through them. The only other thing it might be is that the burners need a cleaning. Let me know if this solves the problem. I'm very curious.

Thanks so much for your help. I tried to move the tubing but it didn't help. Maybe I didn't move it enough. It slowly quit on its own. We have had a little cooler weather. I don't know if that changed anything or not.

If you're handy with tools then you might want to try replacing the gas flex connector. They're cheap and all you have to do to replace it is turn off the gas valve to remove it.

I have the same problem, a soft but high pitched whistle (like a dog whistle) occur s while furnace pilot is on, but furnace is not running. Seems to be coming from the pilot light region of furnace. Any more suggestions for a fix would be welcome.
