I saw an earlier question by someone who works for the Italian mission. For Italians working for one of the UN agencies, hired with a G4 visa, my understanding is that the income is not taxable in the US nor in Italy - is this correct?
Does one still need to file with the IRS something to verify that they do not need to pay taxes?
If this person is married to a US citizen, can that person file "married filing separately" and report only their own income, and exclude the Italian citizen's income from their filing?
Thank you!
