My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, I'm 25 and very healthy- I took my last low dose birth control bill Jan 1. 2011 my cycle from dec to jan was 28 days and I ovulated cycle day 12 in jan then my cycle from jan to feb was 25 days, which I thought meant that I would ovulate sooner- but its cycle day 13 and I still have not got a positive OV test (clear blue easy) my question is - is it possible that I missed my ovulation cycle? ( I also heard that testing early in the mornings like I do- was not the best- and I swear by my mucus that I was ovulating on day 12-? By still no sign- its day 13 today

Hi... welcome to AMHD!
A few things to keep in mind. When you ovulate will usually remain the same regardless of the length or your cycle. A rough guide for ovulation will be about 12-16 days before the next period is due.
When you notice a change in mucus, it is a sign of preparation so you may notice it and ovulate that same day or within several days.
Unlike pregnancy tests, where first morning urine is often suggested, ovulation tests work best with a later test time and with testing the same time each day. You may find you will need a few months of using the ovulation tests to see a pattern emerge.
Since it hasn't been long since you discontinued the birth control pills, it may be that your system is still adjusting to the change.
Continue with the ovulation test strips. It can get costly, but I would use more than what is provided in just one kit and start a few days before what is recommended and continue for a few days after suspected ovulation. Some women naturally ovulate a bit sooner or a bit later than the norm which the kits use to determine when to start testing.
