Normal readings for an adult female are no more then 1.1, so your wife's is much too high and a diet should be recommended by her doctor. I can suggest drinking at least 6 glasses of water upon rising to wash impurities out of the kidneys; impurities that have accumulated during the night.

Usually high creatinine levels indicate ongoing kidney damage, but not knowing your wife's medical history cannot actually diagnose here on AMHD. Is your wife a diabetic?
