I had a temporary crown done a week ago on my bottom back molar. It didn't hurt for the first 3 days. Ever since though, my teeth on that side have been sore. It's not necessarily the crowned tooth, but a dull ache in the teeth around, even on the top.
I went back to the dentist, and he said the bite is fine. He didn't drill deep enough that the nerve would even be exposed. As long as I take ibuprofen or tylenol I am not in pain. When it wears off however, the dull ache comes back. It's not unbearable. It almost feels like when I used to have my braces tightened.
There's no real temperature sensitivity. Just a little bit of cold if directly on it, but it fades immediately after removed.
The main thing is that it just hasn't gone away. I went a whole day with no pain reliever, and it was definitely bearable, just not comfortable.
Are we dealing with issues because the temporary is poorly insulated? Will this clear with the permanent?
