Why does my dish washer not run at all, no lites on console, no sounds at all. Is there a fuse that may need to be replaced and where is it? I have looked for a reset switch or some type way of getting it to power up. I bought this used. Did not know the console lights weren't working or any other problems. What's next?

So you don't know if it worked or not before you bought it? Is is a portable dishwasher? Ie: on wheels with finished sides. Or is it an under the counter dishwasher? (most common) If it's a portable, does it have a grounded plug? (3 prongs) If so, you can check to see if all the connections are tight. You may have to remove a plate or some type of cover to expose the electrical connections. You also may be able to download a manual for your particular model from the manufacturers website. If its an under the counter type, it would be hard wired to your homes electrical system. Try checking the circuit breaker that supplies power to the unit.

The most obvious question is this... have you checked the outlet that it's plugged into with something else to make sure that's not the problem? I've seen this happen more than once!

Good luck!

Yes the power is fine. Should I put in a breaker In-line to turn off and on? Or do you think maybe the control fuse might be bad? I do not know if it was working before I got it, bought it from a Store that takes donations from home owners who give the items for resale to low income homes. I am on Disability SS which means fixed income. So I took a chance since the unit looked brand new. Thank you for your help, if you think of anything let me know.

No I did not know, see comment to grammadidi for more details. It is under counter. I have downloaded the manual and looked it over, it pretty much says to call a repair tech. I worked in electronics for several years before getting Disability and I can Install new control unit if needed but I really want to make sure that is what it is before putting a lot of cash into the machine. I will recheck the wire connections and test it again. Thanks and if you can think of anything else, I appreciate you info.

Sorry, clayrancher. If you hard-wired it and there is no power getting to it, the problem is way beyond my expertise! :) I hope you get it sorted out. Will they take it back if it's not working? I sure hope so.
