Ok so I stopped taking birth control pills a few months back and me and my boyfriend have been having unprotected sex ever since trying to conceive. Its been almost 3 months since I've had my period and I took the HPT and it came up negative. When I seen that it upset me and I didn't want to tell my boyfriend about it yet because I really want to know if I am first. I was hoping I would be so I could tell him about it on Valentines Day. Could I still be pregnant? If I am why is the HPT negative and why haven't I started my period yet? Somebody please help me!

Sometimes it takes a while for your cycle to become regular again after stopping birth control. So that's one possibility. While hpt tests are fairly accurate, it's not a guarantee. There's a number of other things that can cause you to be late, such as changes in diet, exercise, or stress.
Have you spoken with your doctor yet about trying to conceive? I would definitely do so if you haven't already.

No I haven't spoke to my doctor yet, I have an appt. here in a few weeks but I want to get an idea of what can be going on with me. Yesterday my boyfriend told me that he noticed I have been way more tired lately and that my stomach looks like its getting a bit bigger.

It could just be that your monthly cycle is taking a while to get back to normal hun as it can take up to six maybe twelve months for your body to adapt. As for being tired, well that could also be down to stress. If you are too focused on getting pregnant this will delay if not halt the monthly cycle and your mind may then think you are pregnant. Although I would try and see a doctor sooner and find out what is going on
