I inherited a 5 HP Ariens snowblower from my father. The machine's model number is 922020 and it has 4 speeds forward and reverse. It has an electric start and I love this feature because I have arthritis in my shoulder. This fall we replaced the belt and it worked well for the first two snowfalls. This last snowfall it worked about 45 minutes and then the auger no longer rotated. I've only put in $80 for repairs a few years ago and I'm wondering if I should repair or replace.

Not that I could tell. The snow was fairly light, but about 5" deep.

See if you can spin the auger easly with out it running ,you could have sheared the shear pin on the axle. That's what they do if they get pulled down .Luck
