How many moles of hydrogen ions are liberated when 0.4673 mol of xylenesulphonic acid is dissolved in water? The molar mass of the acid is 186.23 grams
If someone could please help me step by step that would be great!

1. Write the balanced equation for the dissociation of the acid
2. Find a mole ratio in your equation and used it, with proportions, to get the number of moles of H.

I don't think it's too big a hint to tell you that xylenesulfonic acid is a strong acid.
