Goodman HeatPump Yesterday I noticed my outside fan was not functioning when heat was on so I cleaned contact on switch outside after finishing and turning power back on at cut off and turning on T-Stat I realized I left wire off one side of switch (Was touching other side of switch) I turned off at T-Stat now and hooked wire back on switch now unit turns on outside but blower upstairs does not until outside unit outside turns off and stat goes to AUX or I turn on EM heat any help will be appreciated I am not familiar with heatpumps but not worried to get fingers dirty I just do not know where to start

On a heat pump the out side fan will shut off with the compressor running in defrost mode, its normal. Will the blower work if you turn the fan to on at the thermostat? IF yes--Leave the fan in the on position and move the mode switch to heat, if its working and heating you may have a bad thermostat. This is just a test, so don't go buy a thermostat thinking this is the only problem.

No fan does not operate if switched to MAN/ON or if I try running system normally IT did come on after system switched to AUX. After connecting the left off wire on contact switch outside everything looks like it worked but I get no blower fan. The outside just runs doesn't matter 10min or 20min till I shut it off = Yesterday I did reset the thermostat (Robertshaw 9520)and switch off everything breakers and turned back on. I did try the thermostat low voltage red wire to ground checking voltage (suppose to be 24V?) I have 1.8V on the line do not know if it means LOW Voltage Transformer bad but which one(inside one or outside one)and do not know how to test it and could not find anything here on how to do it. I have a goodman Heatpump all electric A/C, backup/Emergency.
