I live in a really old house and last year I had a plumber come out because water backed up out of all my drains. Happened again this year, but after the plumber came out with that big machine, took my toilet off and did his thing again, I now have a problem where the water will start to run and than it sounds like burping and the water spits out, along with a lot off rust. When I flush the toilet it sounds like the toilet wants to blow off the floor and takes a while to fill. I heard it could be a problem with the vent on the roof. HELP!!

This issue was not caused by the plumber who rodded your drains. Are you on city water or well?

Could be but sounds like you somehow got a lot of air into the supply side. The air is disloging the sediment. Did they work on a main line outside your house, perhaps up the street. The vent works on the drain side not the supply side so I don't think they are related.

I don't know but I'm going to the local watering hole and ask the locals if they're having a problem, too. Thanks

I live in a very remote area and we are hooked up to a wellhead that supplies the "village".
