Please Help!

My father is Portuguese and my mother is Canadian. My parents are divorced and I live in Canada with my mother and my step dad. My father still lives in Portugal and I visit him about every 2 or 3 years. What I am wondering is if I can get my portuguse passport, from here in Canada. I hope in a year or two I can go to Portugal to study and work. Can I contact someone here in Canada to apply for my portuguese citizenship or do I need to do all my paperwork in Portugal. I am having trouble contacting my family in Portugal and I would like to get my passport as soon as possible!

Thanks,

SoccerGal17:)
