I was on probation in Florida and I had to go to court in California 3 days after I received probation. I told my probation officer I had to leave and she told me to bring her my papers first. The next day I returned with the papers and was informed tha my probation officer was on vacation but to just just fax the papers to her. I faxed the papers to her when I arrived in California and called her to see if she received them. She did but told me it's a violation for leaving the state without permission.

You DID get the person's name who gave you authorization to leave the state, didn't you? Boy, you won't make that mistake again... Don't trust ANY of 'em. They're ALL vipers.

And of course, they also can not stop you from appearing in a court where you have received a summons to appear.
So if they do try and violate you, ( which they can) your attorney can merely prove you where under court order to appear and that failure to appear before that court would have also been a violation of your probation.
