If l,b,h are respectively the length, breadth and height of a cuboid.what would be the volume of a new cuboid if each dimension is halved

A cube has all sides equal, so it's easy enough to visualize the answer.

To help visualize, How many halfed cubes will fit in the original cube.
Lets say 7 times, then the answer would be 1/7th the volume.

I'm sure you know the formula for the volume of a cuboid, right?

So now just rewrite the equation, replacing l, b, and h with l/2, b/2, and h/2 to find the new volume. Simplify as much as possible, and you have your answer.

Um... joypluv and Stratmando, the OP asked for a cuboid and not a cube ;)

Jcaron got it right.
