I have a summons to a jp court that doesn't say what the issue is. I know what the issue is. My next door neighbor wants my wife to stop feeding birds.
Here is my questions, Is it best to have an attorney to speak for me before the Jp or just do it myself? Do I need to respond in writing to the summons or just show up

In my area you cannot submit a written answer. You show up with your version, the other side shows up with theirs. You both bring proof of your argument.

In many areas you cannot be represented by an Attorney as JP is a user-friendly court.

(Feeding the birds? I had a neighbor once call the Police because I was feeding the squirrels. Wonder if these two are related to each other?)
