A man is traveling cross country and comes to this small town. He had either recently or sometime in the past had a head trauma. He takes a room at the motel and later that night wakes up to see all the towns people going to a barn or commercial building. I think he tries to follow them, but I don't recall why he can get into the building. I remember that the people are not comatose but have different personalities at night. One guy is developmentally challenged during the day (Downs?) but at night he is the leader of the group. As it turns out the townspeople are being used at night to repair a spaceship. The traveller is immune to the alien's mind control because of his head trauma. I think it ends with the aliens leaving and no one is the wiser except the traveller. I can't remember who was in it, lots of 70's "B" actors. I think Emphraim Zimbalist might have been the lead. I thought the title was "Night Moves" or "Sleepwalkers" or something along those lines.

It was a decent movie: a good story without a lot of flashy effects.
