It can naturally take some time; unfortunately for some couples quite a bit of time. That doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong however.

One thing to be careful of is trying to time it too closely to when you think ovulation is occurring. It often is helpful to start the trying several days before you think ovulation will occur, right through to a few days after. If you can have sex every other day throughout each cycle, with a few more tries added in when you think you are getting close to ovulation, your timing will likely be on the mark.

Timing is just part of it however, and this is why it can take awhile. Of course, making sure you and your fiancé are doing what you can to be in the best possible health can help. Avoid cigarette smoke, eat well, take your vitamins, get adequate sleep, etc..

After about a year of active trying, if still no success, your doctor may suggest some initial testing to see if there is anything that may need to be addressed.
