OK I'm 3 days late on my period, I done a test today and there's a very very faded line there, I can only see the line in the natural day light, I know the only thing I can do is test again to find out, but is there any way I could know? Any signs?

I had a miscarry 2 years ago and I kept getting period pains before it happened, the nurse said these were stretching pains but I knew deep down in my heart I would get my period, now I'm terrifed its going to happen again, I'm getting these same pains, some are quite harsh, I can only describe them as little light contractions (even though I've never experienced them before)

I'm 90% sure I'm pregnant, so is there a way of preventing miscarry? I'm also on antidepressants and anti phycotic tablets and have been taking them daily up until now (im not going to take them tonight until I know for sure) I'm sure this is what caused my last miscarry.

I've got lower back pain and period pains, these are the only symptoms I have at the moment and both of these either point to pregnancy or periods.

I'm not even sure what my question is here (sorry) I just want some reasurrance basically.

You need to call your doctor today. The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to take a test. And you should NOT just stop your meds without speaking with your doctor. So call today so your doctor can advise you and you can get in there for an appointment.

You are only 3 days late. In the medical community that is not considered late for even the most regular woman.

Try taking a test again tomorrow morning. Be sure to use first morning urine.

I'm sorry about your previous miscarriages. I know how that increases your fears for future pregnancies. However, miscarriages in early pregnancy typically cannot be prevented.

If you are trying to become pregnant, heck even if you aren't, since you are in child bearing years it's best if you take a multi vitamin containing folic acid, or even prenatal vitamins daily.

I have to agree with JC above. I guess I missed that part. Never EVER stop taking meds, particularly antidepressants and antipsychotics without discussing this with your doctor. It can be very dangerous and even life threatening depending on which meds they are and what they are for.

That's great guys thank you for your time answering me, I'm getting pains as we speak, its torture not knowing, I called my doctor and he will test me tomora, I just need to know as early as possible because of my medication, I'm convinced they are why I miscarried last time,

Thanks again :-)

Congrats! Speak to your doctor about the meds you are taking. There are some that can be continued through pregnancy. Wishing you a smooth and easy pregnancy... :)

Everything seems to be fine so far, I'm off my meds under doctors orders and luckily I'm feeling great without them :) oh and even more lucky for me, being pregnant has completely turned me off smoking! I thought I wouldn't be able to stop so I'm so happy with this, I have just one worry, I keep getting pains (I know they're normal due to stretching and what not) but last night the pains actually got so bad they woke me up (first half decent sleep I've had since coming off my meds) I was convinced that I got my periods and was afraid to get up and check, I eventually did and was so relieved to see I didn't but its on my mind now since I got up and I'm so scared now this is going to be it, I'm having strange occurrences I usually get before my period, like I need to pass a lot of stools just before I get a period and I'm like this all morning which has me really worried, id appricaite some input to this, has it ever happened to any one of you?

It may be nothing, but it would be best for you to call your doctor, just to make sure. Until then, do your best to relax. Stressing won't do you or the baby any good. Sounds like you're doing pretty well, yay for no smoking and feeling great. :)
