Did your b/f have a safety deposit box? Perhaps if he did, then the insurance policy is in it, but even so, you will have to have a death certificate to claim the insurance policy.

If you have phoned 30 insurance companies and have run up against a brick wall (and by the way, totally unfair of you to shoot down my suggestion of a safety deposit box and death certificate as NOT HELPFUL). I am only trying to help and I don't know what you want us to say, other then, yes, get a lawyer, hire someone to search places that you can't think of, or know about.

There will probably be many other answers you don't think are suitable at the moment. Sorry.
