I have a DBA and did business with a company in India. They paid me a remittance of 30% less from my invoice, taking 30% off for tax reasons. Does this seem correct, and how would I file this in my 2010 return? I have TDS Certificate Documents and Receipts.

What is DBA? Are you a self employed citizen or resident of US?

I have a "Doing Business As" certificate (I can operate a business under my social security number, claim business expenses), and I am a self-employed resident of the US.

Thanks!

For yourself employed business, you will report income and expenses on schedule C or C-EZ (Form 1040). You will also do Form 1116 for foreign tax credit. Your U.S. Tax Return: U.S. Citizen or Resident with Foreign Income (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/us-citizen-or-resident-with-foreign.html)
