I was guilty of shoplifting at H&m plc. It was only earning , I never done this before. And I have criminal record. And I never wnt to the court but I am banned for lifetime from the store.
They have taken my detail and they charge me 154 pounds for retail loss prevention. I want to ask you can I get any concession to start shopping again at boots. I did not tell any one at home I am really worry and am ashamed of this.
Please help me in this matter. I also want to apply for british citizenship will this affect on my application.
I did not go to police station. This punishment was given by a security officer at boots.
I am really worried please help me
Thanks

Hello m:

You don't have a police record, so the incident won't effect your application for citizenship. Don't push it, though. If they told you to NEVER shop there again, I wouldn't.

If you go back into the store you will be arrested for trespassing. That part is simple.

If there were no criminal charges filed (and it sounds like there were not) you do not have a criminal record and have, in fact, NOT been arrested.
