Hi I about 5 months ago dyed my natural Blond hair semi-permanent dark brown. Then about a month later I Henna'd it red but the regrowth went lighter then the rest so it looked strange so I did a emergency permanent dark red on it. I haven't dyed it since and am really sic of how slow it is taking to grow it out so I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to get it closer back to my natural color without dying it to my natural color?

Your new growth is not fully keratinized so of course its going to turn a different color. Henna is a progressive dye, which means that it will continually go darker each time you use it. A little trick you can TRY is vitamin E crushed up with Dawn dish soap. Let this soak into the hairstrands for at least 30 minutes with heat. The heat will open up the cuticles on your hair strands and the dawn will pull some of the color out. I'm not guaranteeing that this will work, as each hair strand has a different porosity to it, so you may end up with bands. Different colors on the same hair strand. My opinion would be to go to a stylist and have them bleach the color out of your hair. You can then go a shade lighter than your original color and highlight it more to give you a lighter look. Please don't use henna anymore on blond hair-- red and yellow equals orange. Licensed cosmetologist
