I live in NJ and started a job in PA in December. I received 2 W2 forms from the same employer. 1 W2 is blank expect for there is something in box 14. The other W2 has all my earnings and everything on it but is blank for box 14. My understanding is that box 14 is for the employer to use for any additional money withheld, but why would I get the 2 forms?

The employer forgot to fill in box 14 on the first form so he sent out second forms with box 14 filled in because it was easier than doing corrected W-2 forms.
