Hey OK so let me give you the spill on what has been going on lately.. I am 21 and have been with my boyfriend for a year and going on 9 months on feb 2nd and am engaged! Yay me! :)
Back to the reason for concern, I had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend with vcf on dec. 14th then on dec. 31st, I began my menstrual.(my boyfriend is the only guy I have ever had sex with)
Then I had a yeast infection where I took diflucan to cure it... two days after diflucan, I had pink discharge, which scared me to death but I thought nothing of it because it stopped. Then, jan. 15th, I had spotting not even an hour after intercourse... now, when I had the yeast, my doctor tested me for stds and all so that came back negative.
Now I was suppose to start my period this week, I use this woman's log app on my phone and my period usually always comes 5 days before when the woman's log says I am suppose to get it... now today is the day my woman's log says I'm suppose to start my period and I am having a really light brown discharge instead of period. A week and a half ago, I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative so now, I'm scared because I'm not getting any answers. The reason I took the pregnancy test is because I have been really crampy lately and I have these weird bumps forming on my areolas and my breasts hurt (which I've never experienced) plus I've been sleeping a lot and after I eat sometimes I feel like I'm going to throw up, but I don't... anybody ever experience any of this? Could I be pregnant? Or what could be going on?
Oh, and thank you in advance!

Geez... you seem to have a lot going on there. So this can be because of any number of reasons - lets go down the list.

The yeast infection could be because of several things like: you were recently on antibiotics or you take birth control. Both of those things can give you a yeast infection.
It could also be if your boyfriend cheated on you... now don't panic, I'm not saying he did but that can be a reason (ie. Reason why the doc tested you for std's).

Really light brown discharge is usually at the beginning or end of a period, but can also be from a miscarriage. Some women can't take home tests (b/c they get a false reading) and need to go to a doctor to see if they really are pregnant.

I am wondering if you are pregnant (or pregnant again - if you didn't know you were the first time)... I would say go back to the OB/GYN and have him do the test. Also, explain all the strange stuff that has been going on - if you haven't already.

I hope this all helps! :)

I have to agree with the last answer about getting a pregnancy test. If you used a condom or some form of birth control that is inserted then that could be the cause of the yeast. I would also say that the symptoms you are experiencing are indeed big pregnancy symptoms. I am currently in the 14th week of my own pregnancy and experience the same. I suffer fatigue, sore breasts, and I cannot eat quite as much as I used to. I have to eat smaller portions more often or I am nauseous and feel like vomiting. Go get a test at the doctor because home tests are not always accurate. Good luck!

Chicky and Tenda, thank you so much for your responses!
So yesterday, my period finally came, but its NO WHERE near how my regular menstruals are... usually by now, I would have to be waking up in the middle of the night to change my pad so I won't get it on my bed.. (my second days are always the heaviest) but it just looks like I'm about to end my period so I know something is going on now. So now what? I know I've heard people say they u can't be pregnant if you are on your period and I've heard others say that u shouldn't test while you're on your period because it might come out negative because the hormonnes telling you to have a period override the Hcg in you're body that would make the test positive... ugh! Idk what to do. :(
But ever since I started having periods, I have always worn super pads and when I turned 21 and started wearing tampons, I've always has to wear super tampons plus a medium sized pad... now I can just wear a panty liner and go about my day.
So could I still be pregnant? Or could it just be a lucky menstrual month for me to be having this very light bleeding?
Any responses besides chicky and tenda are welcome too!

Actually the whole "you can't be pregnant if you have a period" rumor is FALSE! I have 2 kids and had a period after becoming pregnant with both.. AND this one! Mine were unusual too.. light and seemed like the end not the beginning. Go to the doctor and get tested! The sooner the better! You should avoid alcohol and medications anyhow until you know for sure. I'd have to say that I'm pretty positive you ARE in fact pregnant. But, I am NOT a nurse or doctor! You can go to a free clinic or a pregnancy place to find out if you don't have medical insurance. Call your local WIC office and they can tell you where to go. Good luck!

You are so very welcome doll! :)

I agree with Tenda... I would keep track of everything that happens on paper w/ the date and time. I know it will be annoying but will be a huge help when you go back to the doctor.

You could be pregnant... but you could also be having a great period. I heard that about every 5 years a woman's body changes.

I would go back and stress upon him/her that you are very concerned and would like to find out what the problem is. :) It may be nothing, but it better to be safe than sorry.

I hope this helps! :)

Ps. Don't get too worried yet...

Y'all have been so much help. Thank you so much... when this ever so light period ends, I will take a pregnancy test the first morning I am off and if negative, I'm going to set up a doctors appt.
Not too fond of the pain I'm experiencing in my abdominal lately :/
But I will soon find out what's going wrong

Hey... ok update! My period should have ended Tuesday and its Thursday night and I'm still on it! So what could this mean?
Or I know y'all aren't doctors, so what should I do?
Could I still be pregnant? Or is this a sign that I really could be pregnant?

It could mean a lot of things. Can you go to the Doctor? You need to be checked out. A pregnancy test and a test to find out if maybe you miscarried. You need to go in ASAP! Please!
