I have tried all types of pesticides for bedbugs but no use. They are all used to any pesticides. How to get rid of this?

They are having a sort of success rate with steam in Toronto apartment buildings, yes they are finding it difficult to kill bedbugs with pesticides. They are becoming, or already are immune to pesticides. It is a real epidemic in Toronto, ontario, home to milliions of people. I am hoping our pest control expert will come across this post and comment.

Winnipeg, MB is having an enormous out break as well. Have you tried a professional exterminator?

It is like I said, high extreme steam heat is the only thing they have found that eliminates them entirely.

Wow, scary stuff. My friend had them, luckily they called Orkin and it cleared them all out. They haven't seen one in a few months now.

Only problem in Toronto is, the areas they are in are so vast, with trillions of these little b**ggers inhabiting beds, suitcases, sofas (even throwing the sofa out doesn't help if the weather conditions are right!); they can live outside and jump from one piece of furniture to another in a landfill site. And... god only knows people searching for decent furniture will take something home that is already infested.

Yes, one person I was speaking to told me that the infestation was so bad that the bugs were in picture frames, in the light sockets, under the baseboards. It's a scary epidemic, and I am not sure what they expect low income family's to do when and if they get an infestation. I know I wouldn't be able to afford new beds and couches...
