Ok I am twenty and I am a nanny for a little girl. Her mom is awesome a little bit of a helicopter mom but awesome none the less. She has an exhusband who comes to get the little girl a few days a week. Raised eyebrows, lingering looks have advanced into him asking me out for coffee. Hes attractive, but I don't want to offend my employer by accepting the advances of her ex husband. Yet I do not want to offend him either... WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Tell him your loyalties belong to your employers. If you ever leave this job, you would be pleased to accept his invitation for coffee.

So do you want to go to coffee with him ?
Have you told your employer ?

If you don't want to, have you just told him no.

I will assume you are both adults, so you are free to have coffee or see him if you want to.

The obvious answer is,
"thank you, I'm very flattered, but I do not date the parents of the children I care for". It's hard to be offended by that.
