I'm in need of some advice. I'm separated from my husband and live in another state, he has possession of a leased vehicle titled in my name, the payments had not been made for over three months, the lease was up 28 days ago. The repo company has been searching for this car for over a month and can not locate it. I'm now under the belief he may have painted the car to diguise it. Since he's my husband the police will not take a stolen vehicle report. In a couple days I'm going to be charged for the entire cost of this car. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Did you try to report it stolen? He may be your estranged husband but he is not on the lease. BTW you are not on the title, just on the lease, the leasing company still owns the car. If you prsent yourself to the police department and are not allowed to file a stolen car report ask for the watch commander or chief.
