Hi,
I changed my status from f1 to H1 on 2008. In 2010 , I went back to my home country for h1b stamping for which I paid the airfare .
(1) can I deduct the airfare in my tax filing?
(2) I didn't know there was something related with H1b tax deduction. As such I haven't done that earlier. How much can I deduce for that . Also can I apply for the tax deduction of 2008 and 2009 along with 2010?
(3) I moved to different state as my client was changed earlier this year. I stayed in a friend's house in the new state for a while and as a goodwill gesture, I paid the rent for the time. Is there any standard deduction for such kind of business related moving?

Thanks in advance
S

1 & 2) The costs associated with your H-1B visa are considered to be PERSONAL in nature and are thus NOT deductible.

3) No, there is NO deduction.
