I saw part of this movie once on TV when I was younger. I don't know what year the movie was made, or the director or actors.

All I can remember is this: A young overweight girl's father gets remarried inside a supermarket (apparently this was supposed to be sweet because it was where they first met or something). The stepmother is nice but she's perfect as are her two young daughters. The obese girl can't stand this, as she's already self-conscious about her weight. Anyway she lives a pretty dull life, she lives alone and as a job puts makeup on the dead for funerals. One day at the subway station, I think, she meets a hot thin guy and even gives him her number and address. He isn't cruel to her but you can tell he won't be going out with her anytime soon. Anyway so at one point he gets really hammered with his buddies, so hammered that he finds her address in his pocket still and drunkenly stumbles over to her apartment and passes out on her bed. He feels bad for standing her up and then showing up unannounced and very drunk. He starts hanging out with her and eventually falls for her as they begin a relationship. After this point I draw a complete blank.

I have been searching for this movie for almost two years now with no such luck. Can anyone help me?
