Hey good luck with your band, Its probably not a good idea to be drummer and lead singer. U need a lot of concetration for both and u will most likely get confused and mess up.

As for band names What sort of band it is Heavy Metal etc.

Phil Collins was drummer and lead singer for Genisis.

What kind of music will you be playing?
Type of band will usually affect the name.

Like Metal... Metallica, Black Sabbath

A boy-band would out of place with a name like" Five Finger Death Punch"
(one of my favorites)

Ok, Phil Collins was a drummer and a lead singer, but he didn't always drum while singing. Phil Collins was a Jack of All Trades, he could keyboard, drum, sing. Genesis was a great band. Phil Collins was even greater.

Now, can you drum and sing? Sure, it all depends on the genre of music. If you're going to be drumming a FFDP song do you really think you can be singing too? Drumming metal songs will jerk your arms, what happens when you sing and your body is jerking? Your voice jerks.
If you're doing a Phil Collins type genre then yes you can get away with it.

It all depends on your type of music. This is also the case with your band name. What is your genre choice?
