I think that I've had implantation bleeding for over 6 days. It started on Monday the 17th and is still going on today which is the 22nd. It's brownish-red and is only when I wipe. I was supposed to get my period yesterday, the 21st, but I'm still waiting. I took a HPT this morning, but it came out negative. So my first question is: can I have ovulation bleeding for this long? And 2: how long hould I wait o take another HPT to get a more definite result?

Ovulation bleeding? Where did you get that term? I've never heard it before. And typically you don't bleed during ovulation. Ovulation is the point during your cycle when you are most fertile. And what makes you so sure that you were experiencing implantation bleeding? You may have just been having plain old spotting. If you don't get your regular period within the next few days, I would try another test. Don't forget to use first morning urine.

Melmags does not find this helpful : she never heard of ovulation bleeding...
Good job reading the rules. Reddies are only to be given for factually incorrect advice. I didn't say ovulation bleeding didn't exist, I said I hadn't heard of it. There's nothing factually incorrect about that.

ovulation bleeding - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS403US403&aq=f&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=ovulation+bleeding)
But here, I went a head and googled it. You might want to check out some of those links. It might be time for you to see your doctor with the irregular bleeding going on that long.

Tried to add a balancer... :)

It doesn't sound like either ovulation or implantation bleeding. Most women never notice either, or if they do, it is usually so minimal they don't give it much thought.

It may just be an off cycle, which sometimes happens. Some women do have some bleeding/spotting in early pregnancy so give it another week, if still not having a normal period, try another test. If negative, wait and see what happens when your period is due next month and test at that time if need be.
