Someone gave us a Hampton Bay-Carriage House II 52' ceiling fan. We hooked up the black to black, green to green, white to white, and blue to red. The light works but the fan doesn't. Need help determining the problem please.

I assume you have a white, black and red in ceiling box. How many switches do you have? Connect black of fan to red of ceiling box and see what happens.

The wiring you listed sounds fine if you have 2 switches on the wall. If you have one or a remote tell us because it makes a big difference.
