The brand is "Turn of the Century" & was purchased at Menards/ We checked out what was recommended in the "troubleshooting" area of the directions.

Generally, there is a blue wire for the light kit that needs to be connected to a hot (black or red) wire. I assume you've pulled the chain for the light several times to make sure the switch is on. Other than that, there's not much else you can do.
