My house is only a bit over 4 years and was not used much as it was a foreclosure. A water guy saw my system and said it was junk and I needed a new one. We don't know much about these things. I am in North Port. Can anyone around here help me out?
Thanks.

Sorry about your situation. We have a water softner too that came with our house. He told us the same thing. Wonder if they just want to make money to buy a new updated one. We don't know how to disconnect it too. We were told culligan man serviced it. Wish someone would come and disconnect it its just taking up space. I wish you luck.

I hope this is not too late for you. If the system is only 4 years old, probably not. Although if it froze while the house was vacant it may very well be unrepairable. If you can post a picture of the system here and provide a little more information I may be help more. I would recommend you get a water analysis done to determine the water chemistry. You can go to www.wqa.org to find a certified water treatment professional in your area.
