What are the chances I could be in labor. Im 35 weeks along and It is baby number 3 and have gestational diabetes. I have just been feeling really funny all day long. I have had nausea and a queezy feeling haven't thrown up. I also have no energy and baby hasn't been moving like normal either, but still a little movement. She has also dropped and feel it is a lot lower than even previous days. Ive had a snot like discharge and get this gassy feeling in my stomach without the gas. I don't really remember what the contractions felt like before the pain came on and I'm a lot bigger weight wise. I just need some advice feeling a lot of pressure down low as well. Just any type of help would be appreciated.

Labor doesn't watch the clock. Nature takes care of that. So yes its possible that your baby is trying to come "early". If there is any doubt then please call your obgyn. Let them know what is going on and they may send you in to get checked out or wait for Monday to see you. Its always best to be proactive and seek early treatment and diagnosis just in case. The longer you wait the more stress you might be ging through for nothing or the harder the problem may be to solve. Either way see your doctor right away.

It's possible your body is preparing. If you notice a considerable drop in baby's movement, best to have things checked. Sometimes a cold drink and lying down will get some action going from baby.

If you notice cramping or tightening that comes and goes, start to keep track of how often you notice it. Get something to drink, relax in a warm bath, have a lie down and rest.

If the cramping or tightening doesn't go away and you have several in an hour, give your midwife or doctor a call. They will likely have you go in and be monitored. If you are at all concerned or unsure, give them a call... that is what they are there for.

If there isn't any tightening, or they are few in number, it is likely braxton hicks contractions. Discharge may be the mucus plug, pressure low is likely baby being far down, feeling some nausea could be that your body is preparing or you may be fighting a bit of an illness.
