I usually have a irregular period, but this month it is so far ten days past its "normal" time. I didn't have one at all December so I bought several home pregency tests and took my last one this am - all have come back negative. I was wondering if you had a suggestion on what I should do. I do not have a job nor health insurance ( and my husband and I HAVE had safe sex). Any suggestions would be appricated!

Odds are your period is just off due to irregular cycles and with having safe sex. See what happens when you would expect it for next month. In the meantime, you could try another test in about a week or two if it still hasn't shown up.

If still no period for next month, and a pregnancy test at that time is still negative, it would be a good idea to see your doctor to determine why you are not having periods. For some women it is perfectly normal, but that would need to be determined by your doctor. Since payment would be necessary, give them a call now and inquire as to what an office visit would cost. That way you can start to put some money aside should you need it for later.
