I have been accused of stealing £450s worth of electrical cable from St thomas hospital london June 2nd 2010.I have worked in the hospital for nearly 30yrs and I have an impecable record for trust and honesty with glowing references to boot from various staff and doctors I have known for many years.I failed to add that I am a subcontractor and not a NHS employee and I am completely innocent of this allegation.I have in addition been excloded from Guys and St Thomas trust since June 7th 2010 and this has had a considerable financial bearing on me and my wife etc.I had a solicitor but unfortunately I was refused legal aid so he could no longer represent me because there is no funding[about £7000] which puts me in an impossible position please can you help

Most times someone is refused legal aide is because is they have sufficient income (based on their maximum qualifying income stardard) to pay their own fees, not that you or many people have that much just laying around. I would recommend Borrowing that money to get the solicitor/lawyer.

... I had a solicitor but unfortunately i was refused legal aid so he could no longer represent me because there is no funding ...
In the U.S. there is a constitutional right to counsel in a criminal case. If the government fails to fund indigent defense, I suspect that the case would have to be dismissed. I don't know how this works in the U.K. but a motion to dismiss might be in order.
I suggest that you speak to your local politicians about getting indigent defense funding reinstated.
