View Full Version : How do you remove the handle on a Price Pfister shower?

I have a leaking Price Pfister shower valve but cannot remove the handle to get to the valve. It has a single round handle with what appears to be a round cover or cap. I attempted to pry off the cover in the center but am afraid to damage it. I looked on the underside of the knob to look for a allen head set screw but there are none. Any idea on how to take this off?

I looked for a Price Pfister replacement to get a model number but can't find anything close. I believe they do not make this model any longer.

The cap should come off easily with a thin blade such as a kitchen knife or edge of a jackknife.

YUP! Here's a picture of a similar setup... ;) As Joypulv said, pry up and off... sometimes I use a utility knife as the blade edge is extremely thin and gets under the rim of the cap with little/no damage!

Good luck!
