The only accessible sanitary lines are 2" and to get to a 4" is looking to be a lot of trouble if not impossible. Is there anything I can add to a toilet or line to allow using smaller sanitation lines like a grinder or pump? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Unless you are outside the USA borders you will need a permit and they will require at least a 3" waste line. I suggest you get 3 good plumbers to give you a bid and explain how they would do it. A toilet can be done 99% of the time but it may require more work than accessing an existing line. This system http://www.plumbingsupply.com/maceratingtoilets.html does employ a 2" line but you must tie into a 3" somewhere

Hi Xtiank...
Actually, they do sell a MACERATOR pump that only requires a 3/4" discharge pipe...can connect into a 2" line.
The system I refer to is at Saniflo macerating and gray water pumping systems (http://www.SANIFLO.com)
You need to purchase the macerator system and the toilet, but you can also add a sink and a tub/shower if needed. You would, however, usually need to build the floor up 5-6 inches for the tub/shower.
Questions? Let me know...
Mark
SORRY BOB, just saw you posted on the macerator pump in your link..*UGH*

Good to know Mark, I had not seen that one. Doesn't code require them to be connected to a 3" line within a certain distance? Never have done one but maybe you have.

I have installed like 5-6 of these and always run a 1" discharge line pitched downward to connect into a 2" waste line via a wye fitting with cleanout.
In the manufacturer's instructions, however, you can run a 3/4" discharge pipe and connect into an 1.5" wye with cleanout.
Her, as long as the plumbing fixtures are piped according to code (vents/traps) all inspections have been passed without question.
Have a good day.
