Hi,I am not sure if I should file my 2010 taxes. I have a 1098e form from a student loan, but not a W2 because I did not work in the United States, but in Mexico last year. And the way I paid my loan during the year was with the help of my dad. I want to be able to get some return on the $1,500 from interests I paid. Can I do this?
How can I report income not in a W2? If it was just family help?
Thanks!

Sorry, but if you have NO income earned in the United States, you have no basis for filing a return to claim the interest deduction.
