I watched a movie when I was younger in black and white about a town who relied on rationed food and I believe people were very hungry,, I remember a younge man was the main charcter who is determined to get out of the city in which no one can leave.Its a very dismal place.. There is a place where people go when they wish to die and they get euthanized basically, while watching beautiful scenes of nature on a screen,, the younge man jumps into a truck and get outs and the old man which is his friend chooses to die when he is gone, The younge man discovers that the government is using the dead people to feed the live ones and comes back to tell everyone only to discover his friend is dead, Of course I vaguely rememebr possibly a girl is involved.. I was very younge and this movie was really good and weird if anyone could help me, I have known people that can remember there parents showing them this movie but they don't know the name either.. it drives me crazy..
