I have two soffits on my townhouse. One on the roof, and the other below it. The one below it is leaking a yellow liquid, when it hits the ground it looks like wax. Does anyone know what this is? I just had an overhang put on the roof, because the gutters were leaking. Is this related to the roof?

I have seen similar when honeybees built a nest in the eave and it leaked out. Possible? What temp are you at now?

It's 18 degrees, and snowing here in NY.

Is kind of the color of honey, but I'm not so sure that's what it is? Also big icicles hanging from the gutter on roof.

You are probably getting a back up from an ice dam. Water is leaking back into the eave and then dripping down. At 18 honey is frozen-as you probably are. Not sure about the "wax"
