I'm 14 and feel fat. Not to mention I'm short, so its not helping. I need to loose weight. Soon. I know I shouldn't loose it all at once, that I need to eat better, and exercise more... blah blah blah. You know. But even when I was on the cross country team running 6 1/2 miles in 45 minutes everyday, I was the same weight. Someone tell me what's wrong!!

Well what are you eating? Are you still running? There's no magic answer. It's really all about diet and exercise. Unless it's something beyond your control, like a thyroid problem, in which case you would definitely need to talk with your doctor.

Weight isn't the only thing to go by. Muscle weighs more then fat. So if you were a runner then its more then likely been converted to muscle. If its just certain areas your concerned about then maybe you can excersize with a focus on those places. Just remember that at 14 your still growing.

I'm still running, but only about 3 miles 3 times a week.

OK. And what's your current diet like? Are you actually eating healthy? Or is it just all junk food? We can't help you very well if you don't give us any details.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh anyway?

Yeah, I'm 5'1 and 113 pounds. Which, I know doesn't sound bad, but I have really short legs, so they look kind of stubby. I don't know, I tried eating healthy, but I don't know exactly what foods are the best? Plus, I have to have carbs from pasta for running, which I'm sure isn't really helping...

I'm the same height. You're not overweight. This is starting to sound more like a body image issue. Have you talked to your mother or any other trusted adults?
