I have a manual transmission 1995 Honda Civic that has been having an issue that is occurring more and more frequently. I push the clutch in and turn the key, the lights and everything come on, but the engine doesn't turn over. As of late, I have to try turning the key a few times to get it to start. Sometimes it works to move my foot on the clutch (which is all the way to the floor when I push it in). Sometimes it works to turn the key all the way off and back on. Sometimes I just have to turn the key from the "on" position to the "start" position again.
The lights are bright & it doesn't act at all as though the battery is low. This has been happening whether parked on an incline or flat. My guess is it might be the clutch, but I don't have issues shifting either.
My uncle looked at it a few months back and seemed to think I just wasn't pressing the clutch all the way in and maybe my seat was too far back. That is definitely not the case.
Thanks in advance for your input!
