Hello everyone. Question. I have a utilitech 70 watt dusk to dawn light that just started acting up today. It flickers very dim at first, then it turns on completely for about 10 minutes. After ten minutes it turns off completely. 5 minutes after it turns off it starts flickering very dim as if there's not enough power to start it. Checked all connections and reset breaker. Everything is working fine except the light. I'm wondering could it be a bad photo sensor? Light has a metal halide bulb. Any Ideas?

Could be a defective lamp, or ballast. I do not think it is the photocell. Bypass the PC and see if it continues to act in the same fashion.

There are only three things that can go wrong (basically) with high pressure fixtures of this type. One is the bulb, the other the ballast, and third would be the photocell. How long has the fixture been in use? By your description of the problem I would change out the photocell first, then the bulb if that doesn't fix it. Check around to price a new fixture before you start as often parts cost can easily surpass fixture replacement cost.
