Hi all
I am an overweight woman in her 40s. I weight 204lbs and am 5 feet 4 inches tall. I do not exercise much beyond walking my dog. I also do not know enough about amounts of food to eat. I suffer from fatty liver and also am non insulin diabetic.

I am looking for specific advice on exercise, length of time every day and what type to do. I also am needing to know how much to eat a day.

My doctor has told me my health would be so much better if I lose. All he tells me is "to cut back on what I eat and to exercise".

I am not looking for a quick fix or a pill to cure me. I want to do this the right way with long term results.

We do not know know what types of food, and how much you currently eat.

First start a exercise program, So what is your normal or average meal and what do you often eat a day

To be honest, my eating does not follow a schedule. I eat at most 2 meals a day and sometimes nothing at all. There are times I binge on junk food. I eat less than my hubby.

Yesterdays food for example:
Grilled cheese with mustard for lunch

Sweat and sour pork roast and Rice with vegies mixed in for supper

Late night I had the munches and ate about 2 cups of vegie chips.

For exercise at the moment is WII fit; Dance Central on the WII. I also walk my dog. I am finding I get out of breath so quickly and try to work my way past it. I am unsure of how long I need to exercise and how much pain/shortness of breathe is to be expected.

Also mods ty for getting rid of the other answer as I don't want to do this the pill way. I do want this to become a change that is permanent! So far I have been maintaining my weight. All of my excess weight is in my stomach region.
