My daughter just moved into a dormitory room. She says the room smells of body odor. How does she get rid of this smell? She aleady bought room freshiner. Would painting the room help?

Room freshener will not stop the odor, just mask it. Getting right down and cleaning with a solution of soap, water, and bleach. Lots of air for ventilation. Scrub the walls, the floor, anything that had come in contact with the former resident. Are her belongings now starting to smell from that body odor smell also? She might have to air them out for a few hours or wash them. Like starting all over again.
Has she talked to her dorm resident manager about this? At least to bring it to that person's attention so that her concerns are noted - make it in a letter and she should keep a copy.
Wishing your daughter well on getting rid of the smell.
