We just installed a new dishwasher and tested it. It ran fine and had water. Tried to use the sink directly after and realized the cold water valve was turned off. We turned it back on the tried to use the sink. We got only a dribble out then no water at all, either cold or hot. Tried the dishwasher again and we are not getting any water there either. Also, when the hot water is turned all the way off under the sink we get a small leak out of the valve. The valve might be the problem, but would all three likely go at once?

Please start by telling us whyt the cold water valve was turned off in the first place. Ypour dishwasher should only be tpped into the hot line so cold should not have been involved. Sounds like everything is now clogging up so I am thinking debris has broken loose inside your pipes and /or stop valves. If I am correct, think I am, you will need to open up your sink mixing valve and clear the stems or cartridges of debris. The fill valve will be more difficult so try the sink valve first

After letting water run for awhile, any debris seems to have cleared out. Our faucet is in near perfect running order. Thank you for your comment!
